Yamaha S90es Price
Don't know if this is a DP problem or a Yamaha problem: I just got a Yamaha S90ES keyboard and can't see it in the 'Output' selections in the Tracks window of DP. I opened the MIDI Monitor and saw the keyboard listed there (and the Monitor showed MIDI data when I played it). But it's not listed along with my other MIDI devices. I opened Audio MIDI setup, and the S90ES appears there (as it should, since I downloaded and installed Yamaha's USB driver). The keyboard is connected directly to the computer via USB, as per Yamaha's instructions. I tried deleting it from the AudioMIDI configuration and connecting it to the MicroExpress; when I then rescanned MIDI, it didnt' see the keyboard.
DP manual says the devices in the output list are provided by Audio MIDI setup. In fact, everything else in my Audio MIDI setup is in the list, including my Frontier Designs TranzPort.
Just not the S90ES. Hi Bobk In order to use the instrument with a computer via a USB connection, you will need to install an appropriate USB-MIDI driver.
You can download the proper driver from our website: OS: Windows XP Professional/Home Edition, Mac OS X 10.2-10.4.0 This information is current as of May 2005. For the latest information check the web site above.

Once the Yamaha USB MIDI dirver is installed, in the core MIDI window you should find a device called S90ES, more similar to a USB-Midi Interface than an instrument. At this point you can create a new device called S90ES and select the device type from the provided list. You should have the middev file and the S90ES.midname file into the Yamaha folder. Then connect the new created device to the USB-Midi S90ES interface. The S90ES is recognized as a MIDI interface. If you need help, I can give you both the middev and the midnam files.
